Virtually everything. The assistants have been trained to have basic knowledge of Accounting principles and practices. They have read a text book, had classroom discussions, watched videos and taken exams to document their knowledge. They have also worked for our sister company as an Accounting Assistant reconciling accounts, creating and sending reports, assisting with AP/AR, and doing other specific tasks for our Accounting department. But they are also trained to not assume they have the right answer to any questions and they will learn from you with each decision or process you help them with.
